I moved to Washington, DC in July of 2010. It was a hot summer and the day we moved into our new house the power went out. For 4 days. It was 101 degree Fahrenheit. Coming to the US capital from the mostly cold and mostly rainy northern German city of Hamburg, I loved DC from the first minute.

I have since then explored every corner of the city, trying to understand its customs and discover its secrets.

I have organized tours for countless friends from Europe who visited us for days, sometimes for weeks. I showed them all the sights you need to see, toured developing neighborhoods, researched the hottest shows and galleries, tried to find the best burger and the perfect jeans.

I would love to share my passion for Washington, DC with YOU. It’s a city full of interesting stories. And I want to tell them to you.

In my former life I worked as a radio and TV journalist in Germany & Austria. I am a mother of two daughters. I speak German and English.
